Great video Steve - and thanks for the comment Kye.

I was replying to email today and listening to Gary Vaynerchuck on http://www.ustream.tv/channel/wine-library-tv and he mentioned the same idea.

His thought.. many big business and "suits" old school marketers are waiting for the "tipping point" for internet marketing and social media to blow away traditional marketing. Gary's thought was - don't wait for the tipping point, get out there and practice using all these tools. Then when your blog or twitter or facebook explodes you will be familiar with the tools and know your way around already.

100% True Steve.

After you and Shane told me about twitter I went home signed up and got started. The next day I had my first return from using Twitter.

Shane tweeted that he had tickets available for a Board of Trade function and to direct message him if anyone was interested. I had no idea what a direct message was but I found it and gave it a shot. Long story short Corinne and I went to the event and she met the CEO of her dream employer and has expanded their relationship since then.

If I had worried how to use Twitter well or had worried that I didn't know how to direct message we would have never opened the door on a great career opportunity for Corinne. Not only did the door open it was the CEO she found on the other side! All thanks to twitter and me 'just doing it'. Well actually a bigger thanks to Shane for sharing the opportunity to attend!

Never mind the great opportunity to hear the speakers that day!
